Which AI systems EdgeCV uses, why, and how they are classified under the EU AI Act.
How EdgeCV uses AI
EdgeCV uses AI to help you write and optimise your CV, generate cover letters, score ATS compatibility, and practise mock interviews. We work with Anthropic and OpenAI — both on their no-training-on-customer-data tiers.
Your CV content is never used to train AI models. You may withdraw consent for AI processing at any time via Account Settings.
EU AI Act risk classification
Under the EU AI Act 2024/1689, all EdgeCV AI features are assessed as minimal risk. EdgeCV is a personal job-search tool — not an employer-side selection system. No high-risk use case (as defined in Annex III) applies.
AI-powered features
CV tailoring
Minimal riskProvider: Anthropic Claude / OpenAI GPT-4o
Purpose: Rewrites CV bullets to match a job description; scores keyword match.
Art. 50 disclosure: AI-generated suggestions are always reviewed and approved by you before use.
Cover letter generation
Minimal riskProvider: Anthropic Claude / OpenAI GPT-4o
Purpose: Drafts a cover letter from your master profile and a job description.
Art. 50 disclosure: Draft is editable; final text is authored by you.
ATS score
Minimal riskProvider: Anthropic Claude / OpenAI GPT-4o
Purpose: Scores keyword overlap between your CV and a job description.
Art. 50 disclosure: Score is advisory only; no automated hiring decision is made.
Mock interview
Minimal riskProvider: Anthropic Claude / OpenAI GPT-4o
Purpose: Conducts a simulated job interview and provides feedback.
Art. 50 disclosure: AI acts as a practice partner only; no performance assessment is stored or shared with employers.
